Grosse déception chez les lions: Mbaye Niang inconsolable (photos)

La déception était grande, ce vendredi soir, au Caire, au coup de sifflet final de la CAN 2019. L’Algérie venait de remporter (1-0) la finale devant le Sénégal.

Chez les Lions, c’était la tristesse. Ils étaient tous déçus de voir passer ce trophée que tout un peuple attend depuis les indépendances. Sur la pelouse, les joueurs pleuraient en tombant par terre. Ils n’y croyaient toujours pas. Ils étaient inconsolables. Le président de la Fédération sénégalaise de football, Me Augustin Senghor était obligé de descendre pour les consoler mais ce n’était pas facile. Même les supporters tentaient de faire la même chose. Mbaye Niang qui n’aura pas marqué dans cette CAN, a mis du temps à sécher ses larmes. Une lourde défaite qui a rendu la soirée des Lions difficile et cauchemardesque.

En zone mixte, il étaient rares ceux qui se sont adressés à la presse. La majorité est passée sans sortir un mot. Ils ont préféré contourner pour digérer la déception.

Dans les gradins, les journalistes sénégalais avaient aussi du mal à y croire. Là, également, on a vu une grosse déception. Beaucoup avaient du mal à écrire leurs articles après le match. Cette grosse déception s’est poursuivie toute la nuit.
