La preuve, un couple lui a donné le nom de son enfant, maname en a fait le teureundo, pour le récompenser, particulièrement au moment de retrouver les terrains, après une blessure.
La nouvelle a été annoncée à Idrissa Gana Guèye sur Twitter en ces termes : « content que tu aies joué aujourd’hui, noua avons nommé notre fils Gana comme toi »
