Le camp du chef de l’Etat sortant Macky Sall a revendiqué dans la nuit de dimanche à lundi sa victoire dès le premier tour de la présidentielle au Sénégal, un résultat que ses deux principaux rivaux avaient contesté par avance.

Face à Macky Sall, 56 ans, largement en tête dans de nombreux bureaux de vote selon de premiers résultats parcellaires égrenés par les médias locaux, seuls l’ancien Premier ministre Idrissa Seck, 59 ans, et le député «antisystème» et ex-inspecteur des impôts Ousmane Sonko, 44 ans, paraissaient en mesure de se qualifier pour un éventuel second tour.

Mais quelques heures après la fermeture des bureaux, la coalition présidentielle, par la voix du Premier ministre Mahammed Boun Abdallah Dionne, se déclarait en mesure de revendiquer la victoire. «Les résultats nous permettent de dire qu’il nous faut féliciter le président Macky Sall pour sa réélection», a déclaré M. Dionne, pronostiquant un résultat final d’«au moins 57%» des suffrages.
